Inkborn ("the app", "we") is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Konstantin Kulikov. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Inkborn and how we use it. Contact us anytime at inkbornapp@gmail.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address (with Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email). We use it to create and secure your account.
- Content you provide. Book titles, author and character names, appearance wishes, notes, quotes, custom universes, and the portraits generated for you. This content is stored with your account so your library syncs across sessions.
- Purchase information. Payments are processed entirely by Apple. We receive transaction identifiers and subscription status so we can credit ink to your balance. We never see your payment card details.
- Device information. A push notification token (only if you enable notifications) and basic diagnostic information about app errors.
- Usage information. Aggregate feature counters (e.g., number of portraits generated) used to improve the app.
How we use information
- To provide the service: generate portraits, maintain your library, sync your data.
- To process purchases and credit ink to your account.
- To send push notifications you have enabled (e.g., when a portrait is ready).
- To improve the app and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information and do not show third-party advertising.
AI processing
To create a portrait, the text you enter (book title, author, character name, and optional wishes) is processed by third-party AI services that research the character's description and render the image. Your name, email, and other account data are never shared with these services.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of processors to run Inkborn: Google Firebase (authentication, database, backend), Cloudinary (image storage), and AI providers (Perplexity, Google, fal.ai) for character research and image generation. Apple processes all payments.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data in the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by emailing us at inkbornapp@gmail.com.
Children
Inkborn is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
